How Strange It Is to Be Anything At All

This was my largest, private commission to date. It was a glorious, open-ended commission based upon the Neutral Milk Hotel song, “In An Aeroplane Over the Sea”.
Focusing mainly on the lyric “how strange it is to be anything at all”, this painting consists of acrylic paint, graphite and spray paint.

This piece was an open commissioned piece consisting of acrylic paint, burning, hand built balsa wood house, found wood, and the roots and stem of some sort of plant/weed found on the grounds of my apartment complex.

On March 26th I will be participating in The Ann Arbor Creative Center’s group show called 30 x 30!
30 artists are provided 30 canvases and 3 months to complete them.
All art prices will be geared to move as this is a fund raiser to help get kids in some art classes.
Totally pumped about this show!!!
